HOW THE TRAVEL CLUB WORKS

Welcome to the Bull Riding Fans Bed and Breakfast Travel Network Website!

Our travel club involves members hosting other members. The membership is open to all passionate fans of the Bull Riding Sport so our members have common experiences to share. It entitles you and your immediate family (partner and children under 18) to use our travel network. Two adults and children stay overnight for just $40.00 per night when using the same room, if available. Additional adults must join the network to travel with you. The membership cost for a family is $36.00 per year (from the date you join) plus a one-time $10.00 non-refundable initial activation fee.  Renewal notices are sent out each year in the anniversary month that you joined. Existing travel credits will be applied toward membership renewal.




Booking a Trip

When members wish to book a trip they simply complete a Reservation Request Form (member login is required). If you are not presently a member you must first Join The Network. Please feel free to check out our on-line Membership Directory and find the city to which you would like to travel. If you find a host member who looks like a good match for you, you will find a place to indicate your interest on the reservation request form. Once we have a host member who agrees to host you for your trip, we will immediately contact you with their phone number and email address so that you may introduce yourself and get directions to their home. This way when you arrive you will have already communicated with them and will no longer be a stranger.

In order to get you the host/region you desire, you must book a minimum of two weeks prior to your travel date.  You may submit your reservation request form at any point prior to your trip, but host members will not be contacted and reservations will not be confirmed until 8 weeks prior to your travel date. In addition, we need to know your “Gotta Know By Date” (GKBD); the date by which you must have your trip confirmed. To check the status of your trip please send us an email or give us a phone call, but rest assured that you will receive an email confirmation immediately upon confirmation from your host member. The more advance notice you provide the better chance we will have to get you the host you choose. We will book requests in the the order in which they are received. Should you not receive an emailed booking request confirmation, or if you receive one with an error please contact us immediately so we may rectify the situation without delay.




Locating Hosts


Search our on-line Membership Directory to locate hosts in the location you need accommodations. When booking in larger cities, don't forget to check surrounding suburbs and smaller city names. Flexibility and advanced planning is the key to a successful trip!




Trip Confirmation and Canceling A Trip


Your trip is confirmed when a host member agrees to host your stay. If you cancel after your trip is confirmed there are cancellation fees.

In the unfortunate event you must cancel, please contact us and your host immediately. You may contact us via email at BRFBBTravel@gmail.com or by phone at  (516) 445-8387. There will be a $5.00 cancellation fee for each night canceled. You will be charged for each night canceled because each night has been reserved specifically for you and makes your host unavailable for other members. If you cancel less than 48 hours prior to your first night's stay you will be charged for the first night. If you need to cancel before a host is confirmed, there will be no fees incurred.




Billing

When you receive email notification that a host member has accepted your travel request, there will be a link to Google Checkout for you to pay for your reservation.  Reservations are only confirmed once your payment has been approved.  Google Checkout accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express cards.




Hosting is Fun and Helps Pay for Travel


Members hosting other members is fun and helps pay for your future travel. As a host, simply provide clean accommodations and a serve-yourself continental breakfast to your guests. You do not need a license or have to meet any local zoning requirements because the Bull Riding Fans B&B Travel Network is a private club. We will contact you with information about the member traveler, including some of their interests, occupations and bull riding fan experiences that they wish to share. Your guests may phone you in advance to introduce themselves so they will not be strangers when they arrive.

The Bull Riding Fans Travel Club is a reciprocal organization. However, if a hosting request is made of you and the time is not convenient, you may always decline the hosting request. By the same token, you are not limited to how many hosting opportunities you may want to confirm.

Earning Travel Credits


There are three ways to earn travel credits:


First, by hosting a member you earn $10.00 per night. Second, by allowing a member guest to stay as a participant in the Home-Stay Program while you are away for 5 days or more you earn $20.00 per night. And third, by referring new members to the network you earn $10.00 for each new member. Travel credits may be used to pay for accommodations when you go on a trip or to pay your annual membership dues. Travel credits are cumulative and you can use them anytime. (No Black-Out Dates). And the credits can add up quickly. For example, for a two-night weekend hosting you will earn $20.00 travel credit. You will be half way to a one night stay of your own or covering half of your membership dues. Accrued credits not used for travel will automatically be applied to the member's annual dues in their anniversary month and renewal billing will reflect these credits. Don't forget, members can sponsor friends and family. Just make sure that the person who joins gives your name and member ID number as a reference so we can credit your account.




Helpful Hints

A) When making a request for travel make sure you include as much information about yourself as possible. When contacting us about a trip you have booked, please provide your confirmation number which can be found in your confirmation email.

B) It is important to remember that our members are not commercial Bed & Breakfast operations but rather regular folks like you who happen to share your love and passion for the bull riding sport. This is why we need at least two weeks notice to book your trip. When planning your trip, especially to member locations where a bull riding event is taking place, the more time you give us the better your chances of getting your first choice hosting selection. We do not contact prospective hosts earlier than eight weeks prior to your stay dates because many members can not commit that far in advance.

C) In the same light as above, if you wish to offer your home for hosting members at the same time as a bull riding event is taking place in your area, please contact us as early as possible so we can solidify that “match made in heaven”. Again, to be as fair as possible for all members, we book on a first come, first served basis.
